I was leading a group coaching call last week for Inner Glow Circle (if you’re not familiar you definitely want to check it out) and one of our ladies announced that she had become so fed up with her full-time job that she had decided, for sure, to quit.
She didn’t know when, she didn’t know how, but something inside of her had said no more. Yes she was afraid of the uncertainty but she knew she could no longer stay where she was.
As she was telling her story she dropped such a truthbomb that it’s stuck with me since and I want to share it today:
Uncertainty is scary but it’s not as scary as staying someplace you’re stuck.
Take a look around you. Your job, your income, your relationships, your health. Are all of these areas of your life where you want to be? If we suddenly flashed forward to this time next year and everything was the same, are you ok with that?
If you’re not, what are you doing about it?
The uncertainty of taking a risk, of taking the leap, of making a change when you don’t know how it’s going to work out is scary, yes, but what’s scarier is being in the same place next year that you are today. Or the year after that. Or 10, 20, 30 years from now.
We have to make the decision that we’re going to change our lives. No one else can make that decision for us.
But once we do, and decide to get unstuck, magic starts to happen.
So what are you deciding today? Are you staying stuck, or getting unstuck? The choice is always, always yours.
